About the role

The Islington Hotel by Boxwood is seeking a Casual Cleaner to join our team in South Hobart, Tasmania. This is a casual position offering versatile working arrangements to suit your schedule. As a Casual Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining clean, hygienic and welcoming spaces across our Boxwood Hotels. This position is essential to ensuring our clients and staff experience consistently high standards of cleanliness and organisation.

What you'll be doing

1. Performing daily Hotel Room cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, dusting and sanitising surfaces

2. Emptying bins and disposing of waste in accordance with environmental guidelines

3. Cleaning and maintaining bathrooms and kitchen areas to the highest hygiene standards

4. Using appropriate cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively

5. Reporting any maintenance issues or damages to management

6. Restocking supplies such as mini bar, soap, paper towels and other consumables

7. Following health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean working environment

What we're looking for

1. Experience in cleaning or a similar role within the cleaning services industry

2. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards

3. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

4. Physical fitness and capability to perform cleaning duties, including lifting and standing for extended periods

5.



Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment and proper use of safety procedures

6. Reliability and flexibility with casual scheduling arrangements

7. Good communication skills and a professional attitude
