Role Description This is a full-time, part-time or casual, on-site Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist role based in the Greater Newcastle Area. The CNC Machinist will set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Day-to-day tasks include selecting appropriate tools, loading materials, adjusting machine settings, and performing measurements and inspections to verify product quality.
QualificationsAbility to operate and monitor CNC Lathes and Mills,
with strong skills in Machine Operation and Machinery handling.Proficiency in Machining and Milling, including reading technical drawings and working to tight tolerances.Experience in Quality Control, including using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and completing inspection records.Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in machining, engineering, or a related field.Understanding of workshop safety standards and safe operating procedures.Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.Previous experience in a precision engineering, manufacturing, or fabrication workplace is beneficial.
