Steamatic North Queensland is seeking an organised and enthusiastic Administration and Customer Service Coordinator to join our friendly team in Currajong.
We welcome applications from both experienced administrators and entry-level candidates who have basic administrative skills, a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to learn.
Steamatic North Queensland operates within the restoration and specialty cleaning industries, with branches in Townsville, Cairns and Mackay. Much of our work involves responding to insured property damage on behalf of major Australian insurers and their building partners.
Due to an increased workload, we are looking for another team member to support our regional head office in Townsville.
About the Role
This is a varied, fast-paced position involving administration, customer service, job coordination and general operational support.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Answering incoming phone calls
- Entering and allocating new jobs
- Receiving and directing emails and mail
- Contacting customers to obtain initial job information
- Assisting customers with general enquiries
- Scheduling technicians and coordinating daily workloads
- Liaising with technicians, branch managers, insurers, builders and other stakeholders
- Lodging reports and documentation through customer and insurer portals
- Monitoring job requirements and assisting the team to meet key performance indicators
- Receiving supplies and deliveries at our Currajong premises
- Completing supply stocktakes
- Filing and bookkeeping data entry
- Assisting with basic operational systems and administrative processes
- Providing general support to the Townsville, Cairns and Mackay branches
The role will continue to develop over time, providing opportunities to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.

Previous administration experience is preferred but not essential for an applicant who demonstrates the right attitude and aptitude.
Experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word is essential. MYOB experience is preferred but not essential.
The Offer
- Full-time position — 38 hours per week
- Hours rostered between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday
- Occasional overtime may be required
- $28 to $35 per hour, depending on experience and skills
- Four weeks of annual leave
