About the role

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team at New Day Construction in Burleigh Heads, Queensland. This full-time role will involve providing high-quality carpentry services for a diverse range of residential and commercial construction projects.

What you'll be doing

1. Reading and interpreting blueprints, plans and specifications to determine project requirements

2. Measuring, cutting, and assembling wooden structures and components such as framing, flooring, stairs, and cabinets

3. Installing finishing touches like trim, moulding, and hardware

4. Troubleshooting and resolving any construction issues that arise

5. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment

6. Collaborating with other tradespeople, site managers, and clients to ensure project success

What we're looking for

1. Formal carpentry or construction qualifications (e.g. Certificate III in Carpentry)

2. Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Carpenter, preferably in both residential and commercial settings

3. Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and safety regulations

4. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking,



and communication skills

5. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

6. Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service
