We are seeking a friendly, highly organised, and proactive Medical Secretary to join our dynamic orthopaedic practice on a 4 day per week, permanent-part time basis. This is a fast-paced, rewarding role that plays a key part in ensuring our patients and clinicians receive exceptional support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, GPs, and other specialists, providing excellent customer service and communication.
- Coordinate and manage clinic appointments and theatre bookings.
- Handle referral management, ensuring all paperwork and electronic records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Support the day-to-day running of busy clinics and liaise with our internal and external stakeholders.
- Prioritise multiple competing tasks effectively and remain calm under pressure.
- Uphold our practice’s professional and caring ethos at all times.
- Flexibility to work between both north and south Sunshine coast is required, as we run clinics in both locations.
Skills and Attributes:
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritise, and adapt in a busy setting.
- Experience in a medical practice, ideally within a specialist setting, is advantageous.
- High attention to detail and commitment to providing outstanding service.
- Proficiency with medical practice management software is desirable.
- Ability to work both autonomously and within a team setting.
