Direct Wholesale Tyres is seeking experienced Mechanical Technicians to perform a variety of functions on light/heavy performance vehicles. The role includes but is not limited to: Perform regular scheduled maintenance service on a range of vehicle or equipment
Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts, and reassembling mechanical components referring to service manuals as needed Develop and implement mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns Troubleshoot and repair mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns
Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance Complete and maintain service and inspection documentations ensuring its compliance May inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness
May respond to vehicle or equipment breakdown service calls Maintain a tidy work environment and adhering to health and safety regulations. To be considered for this role, you must have:
Strong mechanical knowledge on a wide variety of vehicle and equipment Strong knowledge of mechanics, electrical, and electronic systems and tyre technology Mechanical Technician trade qualification or equivalent
Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment Be physically fit Robust communication skills
Strong diagnostic abilities and problem-solving skills Self-motivated, organised, punctual and reliable Client-focused mentality
