Your Role in Shaping the Huon Valley

As the Technical Officer – Strategic Land Use Planning you will:

- Provide technical planning support to deliver the Huonville ReImagined project

- Interpret and apply state, regional and local planning frameworks to guide master planning and precinct planning outcomes

- Coordinate stakeholders, consultants and community engagement to keep the project moving to schedule

- Contribute technical input to master plans, precinct plans and design guidelines shaping the look and feel of the Huon Valley's public spaces

What You Will Bring

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

- A relevant qualification in planning, architecture,



design or project management, and/or extensive practical experience in the field

- A solid understanding of Tasmania's land use planning system and the ability to interpret and apply strategic planning frameworks

- Robust organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of work and competing priorities

- Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills, with proven experience coordinating projects

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and planning software such as ECM, ArcGIS, LISTMap and Pathway
