A newly created Property Accountant position Your new company
An established property group is seeking an experienced Property Accountant to join its Gold Coast office. Reporting to the Finance Controller, you will take ownership of the financial management of a commercial property portfolio, ensuring accurate reporting, budget control, trust accounting compliance, lease administration and stakeholder management.
Your current role
Manage debtor and creditor functions, including tenant billings, arrears management, daily banking and invoice processing. Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecast recoveries and report on expenditure and budget variances. Prepare monthly management reporting, including P&L; analysis, debtor reporting and variance commentary. Maintain lease information within MRI and ensure lease terms are accurately reflected within financial systems. Complete bank, general ledger and income/expenditure reconciliations. Assist with month-end reporting, outgoings audits and owner distributions.
Work closely with stakeholders to resolve tenant and property-related financial queries What you'll need to succeed Degree-qualified in Accounting, with CPA/CA qualification or working towards completion. Minimum 5 years' experience in a Property Accountant or similar role. Strong understanding of property accounting, budgeting, reconciliations and lease administration. Previous MRI experience is essential. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities. What you'll get in return Opportunity to join a well-established property organisation.
