Our client is looking for a Payroll Officer to join their team! A well-established organisation within a complex service environment is seeking a Payroll Officer to join their corporate support team on permanent, full-time basis.
Your new role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely payroll services while supporting internal stakeholders across the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing payroll activities accurately and to deadlines
- Managing payroll changes across the employee life cycle, including commencements and exits
- Responding to payroll enquiries and resolving discrepancies efficiently
- Supporting payroll audits, checks, and compliance activities
- Assisting with payroll reconciliations and reporting as required
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and documentation
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure a high standard of service delivery
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role,
you will demonstrate:
- Experience in an end-to-end payroll position
- Sound understanding of Australian payroll legislation, tax, and superannuation
- Confidence interpreting awards and employment conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
- Well-developed communication skills and a customer-centric approach
- Strong Excel skills and experience using payroll systems
