About the Company

Our client is a recognised leader in project logistics, delivering tailored freight solutions to the global resources industry. Their comprehensive door-to-door service includes international air and sea freight, customs clearance, transport, warehousing and distribution, ensuring seamless delivery of complex projects worldwide.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Operations Coordinator to join their high-performing operations team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Project Operations Manager, you will coordinate the end-to-end movement of project cargo, ensuring shipments are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Coordinating project cargo movements, including general freight, containerised cargo, out-of-gauge (OOG), breakbulk and heavy-lift shipments across air, sea, road and rail.

- Managing project records, purchase orders, job files, shipment milestones and operational documentation.

- Liaising with suppliers regarding cargo readiness, shipping requirements, container planning, hazardous cargo, export permits and delivery schedules.

- Coordinating with carriers, freight forwarders, transport providers,



customs brokers, vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

- Preparing and reviewing shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, shipping instructions, customs documentation, permits and compliance records.

- Assisting with quotations, job costing, invoice preparation, monthly billing and creditor invoice reconciliation.

- Providing proactive updates to clients and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

- Occasional travel may be required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Previous experience in international freight forwarding operations.

- Experience within project logistics or heavy industry logistics (highly regarded).

- Strong understanding of Incoterms, international shipping processes and customs clearance procedures.

- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- High attention to detail and strong documentation skills.

- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.

- Proficiency with freight management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
