About the role
We're seeking a registered Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner who enjoys working with people presenting with complex behaviours of concern, trauma, mental health challenges and multiple system involvement.
Our participants live throughout regional and remote Western Australia, including locations such as Karratha, Port Hedland, Broome, Geraldton and surrounding communities. This role combines outreach, telehealth and report writing, providing an excellent balance between direct participant work and flexible work-from-home days.




Each month you'll typically spend approximately eight days providing outreach services (negotiated around your personal commitments and participant needs). Travel varies between single-day trips, overnight stays and occasional longer outreach visits. Flights depart from Perth and all travel arrangements are coordinated by our administration team.
Outside of outreach, you'll have the flexibility to work from wherever you're most productive while managing your own monthly responsibilities. We measure success by the quality of your work, clinical reasoning and participant outcomes—not by monitoring where or when you work.
What you'll be doing
Working as part of our Behaviour Support and Psychology team, you'll:Complete comprehensive Behaviour Support Assessments, Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) and risk assessmentsDevelop meaningful, evidence-informed Behaviour Support Plans that genuinely improve participants' quality of lifeDeliver behavioural interventions and capacity-building supports to participants and their support networksProvide education and coaching to families, carers and support teamsDeliver telehealth services between outreach visitsPrepare interim, standard and comprehensive behaviour support reportsPresent recommendations regarding restrictive practices through Authorisation Panel processes where requiredSupervising a small team of entry-level Behaviour Support PractitionersCollaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, schools, providers and community stakeholdersParticipate in regular clinical supervision, reflective practice and peer consultation

We're looking for someone withCurrent registration as a Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (mandatory)At least 12 months' experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support servicesDemonstrated experience working with participants presenting with complex behaviours of concernExperience conducting Behaviour Support Assessments, Functional Behaviour Assessments, risk assessments and psychosocial assessmentsStrong report writing skills, including interim, standard and comprehensive Behaviour Support PlansDemonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in a culturally safe, respectful and strengths-based mannerExcellent communication, critical thinking and relationship-building skillsThe ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team
Applicants interested in the dual Psychologist role will also require current General or Provisional Registration with AHPRA.
