Oasis Dental Studio is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant to join our growing finance team at our Broadbeach Head Office.

About the Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:
- Processing accounts payable
- Completing bank reconciliations
- Reconciling practice management system sales to bank receipts
- Completing credit card reconciliations, including following up outstanding receipts and supporting documentation
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with month-end processes
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and internal controls
Depending on your experience and career aspirations, there will also be opportunities to become involved in:
- Payroll processing
- BAS preparation
- Financial reporting
- Budgeting and forecasting support
- Other broader finance and accounting responsibilities
This role offers genuine progression for someone looking to build a long-term career in finance.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has bookkeeping or accounting experience, or relevant qualifications
- Has excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Is proactive and enjoys taking ownership of their work
- Is comfortable communicating with colleagues to obtain information and resolve issues
- Enjoys learning and continuously improving
- Embraces change and looks for better ways of working
- Is comfortable asking why things are done a certain way and sharing new ideas
- Works well as part of a cooperative team
- Has experience with Xero, Microsoft Excel or practice management systems, although this is not essential
Knowledge of the dental or healthcare industry would be beneficial but not essential.
