About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Governance and Systems Officer to support the delivery and continuous improvement of the City's Project Management Framework.
Reporting to the Service Manager Organisational Capability and Performance, you'll work across the organisation to promote consistent project governance practices, provide guidance and support to project sponsors and project leads, and contribute to high-quality project reporting that enables informed decision-making. You'll also play a key role in maintaining project management tools, templates and governance resources, facilitating training, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
About you
We're seeking a collaborative and organised project governance professional with a passion for continuous improvement, solid analytical skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across a diverse organisation.
You enjoy working with systems and processes, have excellent communication skills, and are confident supporting stakeholders to apply project governance frameworks and reporting requirements.
Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help drive consistency and best practice across the organisation.
Besides demonstrated experience, you’ll need to have:
- Experience in project governance, reporting and business improvement.
- Strong organisational, analytical and communication skills.
- Knowledge of project management and continuous improvement practices.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI and business systems.
- Current WA Class C Driver's Licence.

Salary and Benefits: Salary range from Level 8 Step 1 – Step 4 ($125,629.88 - $133,091.26) of the City of Cockburn Industrial Agreement 2025, based on qualifications and experience.
