Joining RSL WA means contributing to impactful services that strengthen the wellbeing of veterans and their families.Role Description The Liaison Officer is a full-time, in office role based in Perth, WA, focused on building strong relationships with veterans, their families, Sub-Branches, and community partners. Day-to-day responsibilities include responding to inquiries, providing information on RSL WA services, and connecting individuals with appropriate advocacy, employment, and welfare support. The role involves coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, supporting community and commemorative events, and ensuring consistent communication across Sub-Branches.
The Liaison Officer will maintain accurate records of interactions, prepare reports on engagement activities, and contribute to continuous improvement of service delivery. This position requires a professional, empathetic approach and a commitment to supporting the veteran community.Qualifications Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build constructive relationships with diverse stakeholders.Effective communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication tailored to different audiences.Customer service capabilities, with experience providing responsive, respectful, and solution-focused support.Analytical skills to interpret information, identify needs, and make informed recommendations.Experience delivering training or information sessions to groups or individuals.Relevant experience in community services, advocacy, case management, or stakeholder engagement.Understanding of or interest in veteran affairs and support services (experience with ex-service organizations is an advantage).Ability to work on-site in Perth, WA, manage competing priorities, and maintain accurate documentation and reports.Proficiency with standard office software and databases; valid working rights in Australia.
