Maru Hifi is a modern Australian–Japanese fusion venue with a small, dedicated team and an emphasis on consistency, creativity, and high‑quality execution. We’re seeking a Head Chef to lead our kitchen, drive menu development, and maintain smooth day‑to‑day operations.

About the Role

You’ll oversee all kitchen functions, manage a small team, and shape the culinary direction of Maru Hi-Fi. The role includes regular evening service and occasional function work.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and refine menus, seasonal specials, and function offerings
- Manage ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships
- Oversee prep and ensure consistent dish quality
- Monitor and manage food costs
- Train and support a small kitchen team
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards

About You





- Experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef highly regarded
- Confident leading a small team and working independently
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working nights and during occasional functions
