About the roleKaefer Integrated Services Pty Ltd are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Darwin, NT on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the successful delivery of projects by providing expert quantity surveying and cost management expertise. The position will ideally be a local role in Darwin but working 12-hour days on site on a flexible roster. KAEFER Australia can also look at a suitably qualified person working a 2-2 roster from interstate as a secondary option.
What you'll be doingLead project cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across the full project lifecycleOversee progress tracking, productivity analysis, and resource utilisation to drive performance and efficiencyManage cost systems, coding structures, and ensure alignment with project budgets and client requirementsAnalyse scope changes and commercial impacts, implementing adjustments to cost, schedule, and forecastsPrepare and manage progress claims, variations, and supporting commercial documentationIdentify project risks, delays, and cost exposures, supporting mitigation strategies and recovery plans (including EOT claims)Collaborate with planning, operations, and stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and informed decision-making




What we're looking forDegree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or EngineeringDemonstrated experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industryStrong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes and cost controlExcellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skillsProficient in the use of quantity surveying software and MS Office suiteEffective communication and stakeholder management abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative project team
