Reliability Engineer / Engineering Consultant – Fixed Plant & Heavy IndustryLocation: Perth, Western AustraliaEmployment Type: Full-TimeWe are seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer / Engineering Consultant to join a growing engineering consultancy supporting clients across the mining, manufacturing, and heavy industry sectors. This role combines technical engineering expertise with business development to deliver innovative, value-driven solutions that improve plant reliability, maintenance performance, and operational efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesLead reliability engineering and fixed plant improvement projects.Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and develop asset reliability and maintenance strategies.Manage engineering projects from concept through to completion.Assess heavy machinery, fixed plant systems, and manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for performance improvement.Provide technical expertise on conveyors, materials handling systems, chutes, transfer stations, wear management, and other fixed plant equipment.Develop practical engineering solutions that improve equipment reliability, functionality, and lifecycle performance.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients,



understanding their operational challenges and business needs.Identify new business opportunities and support business development activities through technical consulting and solution selling.Prepare and present technical proposals, engineering recommendations, and client presentations.Collaborate with internal engineering teams to deliver high-quality, value-driven outcomes.Promote the company's engineering capabilities and contribute to product and service branding within the mining and heavy industry sectors.Ensure engineering solutions comply with safety, quality, and industry standards.RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.Proven experience in Reliability Engineering within Mining, Heavy Industry, Manufacturing, or Fixed Plant environments.Solid experience with fixed plant equipment and maintenance strategies.Experience with conveyors, materials handling, chutes, transfer stations, or wear management is highly regarded.Strong knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), asset reliability, preventive and predictive maintenance.Engineering project management experience.Demonstrated ability to engage with clients, understand technical requirements, and develop engineering solutions.Exposure to business development, technical sales, consulting, account management, or customer-facing engineering roles is highly desirable.Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
