St Catherine’s Residential Aged Care in Bathurst is seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our team. We have permanent part-time (Night Duty) opportunities available for motivated carers who are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

About The Role

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will work under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse to provide safe, respectful, and individualised care to our residents. You will play a vital role in supporting residents’ daily living needs while promoting dignity, choice, independence, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility assistance and mealtime supportSupport residents’ physical, emotional, social and cultural needs in line with care plansFoster an environment of respect, inclusion, privacy and independence for residentsAccurately complete documentation, charts and care records in a timely mannerWork collaboratively with nurses, care staff, allied health professionals and other team membersComply with organisational policies, aged care quality standards, WHS requirements and code of conduct

About You

You are a caring and reliable team player with a genuine commitment to supporting older people. You demonstrate empathy, professionalism and solid communication skills.

Essential Requirements





Certificate III or IV in Aged Care (or equivalent), or willingness to completeAbility to work under direction and within scope of practiceGood verbal and written communication skillsUnderstanding of resident rights, dignity and person-centred careCommitment to workplace health and safety and quality improvementAvailability to work across a rotating roster (AM, PM, nights and weekends as required)

Desirable

Previous experience in residential aged careDementia care experienceBasic computer literacy for documentation systems
