We’re looking for a practical, collaborative and forward-thinking WHS Business Partner to help us deliver a high-performing safety management system and embed safe practices across all areas of the City.

About the Role
As the City’s WHS Business Partner, you will shape and strengthen our safety culture by delivering practical, credible and fit-for-purpose WHS solutions across all work areas.
In this role, you will:
- Apply the City’s WHS Management System across all work areas to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Develop and maintain contemporary WHS policies, procedures and documentation that are clear, accessible and aligned with legislation.
- Lead WHS reporting and investigations to identify hazards and drive corrective actions.
- Monitor changes in WHS legislation and codes of practice and provide advice on compliance and risk controls.
- Deliver WHS projects and process improvements
- Support risk management activities through inspections, audits, risk registers and emergency planning.
- Build WHS capability across the City through training,
coaching and wellbeing initiatives.
- Coordinate Injury Management and Workers Compensation processes.
- Prepare WHS reporting that strengthen governance, accountability and evidence-based decision-making

About You
You’re someone who enjoys solving problems, improving safety outcomes and delivering practical WHS solutions that genuinely reduce risk. You bring technical capability, strong judgement and a collaborative mindset.
You will thrive in this role if you:
- Have tertiary qualifications (or equivalent experience) in WHS or a related discipline.
- Bring extensive knowledge of WA WHS legislation, regulations and codes of practice.
- Have experience working across diverse operational worksites or industries.
- Can design, deliver and evaluate credible WHS systems, documentation and projects.
- Hold a Construction White Card and Certificate IV Training & Assessing (desirable).
- Communicate clearly and confidently with people at all levels.
- Enjoy coaching others, building capability and improving systems and processes.
- Are proactive,
practical and committed to strengthening safety culture across the City.
