About the role
We’re seeking an experienced Clinical Educator to support the development of our clinical teams across Catholic Homes.
As a Clinical Educator, you’ll support nurses, carers and students to build their clinical skills and confidence through the development and delivery of practical, hands-on learning, including workshops, simulations and on-the-floor coaching. You’ll help ensure our teams deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
Reporting to the Lead - Learning and Capability and working closely with the Clinical Governance Manager, you’ll identify development needs, support competency frameworks, and contribute to continuous improvement across residential and home care. You’ll also mentor Registered Nurses, building leadership capability and supporting confident clinical decision-making.
Working across all sites, this role offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a genuine impact, supported by an experienced and collaborative leadership team.
About you
You believe excellent care starts with great support for staff, and you enjoy helping others grow to provide the best possible outcomes for older Australians.
You’re confident facilitating training across different formats, including workshops, group sessions and on-the-floor coaching. You can identify learning needs, contribute to training programs, and support continuous improvement in clinical practice.
In addition, you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 5 years’ post-registration experience, ideally in aged care or acute settings
- Strong clinical knowledge in aged care
- Experience developing,
delivering and facilitating learning and development programs
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and a learner-centred approach
- Solid facilitation and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage time across multiple sites
- Current driver’s licence
- National Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or understanding of Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards would be highly regarded
