About Us

WA Professional Electrical is a well-established and rapidly growing electrical contractor delivering commercial construction and fit-out projects across the Perth metropolitan area.

With a strong pipeline of exciting commercial, government, education, light industrial and hospitality/retail projects, we are seeking an experienced Leading Hand Electrician to join our delivery team.

This is a hands-on, site-based leadership position suited to a capable commercial electrician who can lead from the front, coordinate daily activities and support the Supervisor in keeping the project safe, productive and on program.

The Role

This is a hands-on position where you will remain a productive member of the electrical team, while also taking on additional leadership and coordination responsibilities. As Leading Hand, you will help manage the day-to-day activities of electricians and apprentices across the assigned project.

Some of these responsibilities will include:

- Lead and coordinate electricians and apprentices across multiple active work fronts

- Allocate daily tasks and monitor progress against the program

- Maintain strong safety, workmanship and QA standards

- Identify and escalate material, access or coordination issues early

What We’re Looking For

- Current WA A-Grade Electrical Licence and Industry White Card

- Solid commercial construction or fit-out experience

- Previous Leading Hand experience or similar (desirable)

- Confident leading & mentoring teams on site

- Strong technical acumen & ability to interpret project documentation

- Organised, proactive individual, with an understanding of how to maintain productivity

- High standards for safety, quality and workmanship accountability

- Clear communicator who works well with stakeholders, clients and other trades

- Positive attitude with the drive to take ownership and set the standards for the rest of the crew.

Highly Regarded

- EWP and Working at Heights qualifications

- National Police Clearance or willingness to apply

- LVR and CPR certification

- Experience using SimPRO & Microsoft Sharepoint
