An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced banking operations leader to take ownership of a growing Deposit Operations function.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role will lead day-to-day deposit operations while driving operational excellence, customer outcomes, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
This is an exciting leadership position requiring a commercially minded professional who can confidently operate with autonomy, influence key stakeholders and deliver exceptional operational outcomes across onboarding, servicing, payments and account management.
The OpportunityAs Senior Manager, Deposit Operations, you will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing operations team while ensuring efficient, compliant and customer-focused delivery across all deposit products and services.
You will play a critical role in enhancing operational performance, supporting growth objectives and driving strategic improvement initiatives across theorganisation.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead all aspects of Deposit Operations, including customer onboarding, servicing, payments, account maintenance, maturity processing and retention activities.Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across customer and business processes.Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and customer focus.Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations including APRA, ASIC, AML/CTF, DDO and privacy requirements.Oversee operational risk, fraud prevention and control frameworks within the deposit function.Partner with Product, Technology, Data, Risk and Compliance teams to support growth,



innovation and strategic initiatives.Analyse operational data and reporting to identify trends, enhance performance and improve customer outcomes.Lead automation, digitisation and system enhancement initiatives to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
About YouYou are an experienced banking operations leader with a passion for delivering exceptional customer outcomes and building high-performing teams. You bring strong technical knowledge, commercial acumen and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.Skills & ExperienceMinimum five years' leadership experience within banking or financial services operations.Strong understanding of deposit operations, payments and customer onboarding processes.Experience with core banking systems, onboarding platforms and payment technologies including NPP, BPAY and Direct Entry.Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks including APRA, ASIC, AML/CTF and DDO.Demonstrated success leading teams in performance-driven environments.Proven experience driving operational improvement, process optimisation and transformation initiatives.Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.Ability to interpret operational data and use insights to improve business performance.
