Job DescriptionThe position requires a hands-on engineer who can operate independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams. The role offers flexibility depending on technical strengths, with a strong emphasis on improving security posture and capability maturity.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage SIEM and SOAR platforms such as Splunk, including onboarding, health checks, patching and maintenancePerform security engineering across endpoint, network and gateway technologiesAssist with incident response using enterprise security toolingProvide security engineering advice to internal stakeholdersDevelop and uplift security operations system requirements
Education / Certifications requiredRelevant qualifications in Cyber Security,
Information Technology or EngineeringIndustry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, Splunk or vendor-equivalent are highly regarded
Knowledge / Skills requiredStrong experience in Security Engineering or Security Operations with a hands-on focusExperience with SIEM and SOAR platforms such as SplunkKnowledge of EDR, device control and application control technologies (e.g. Trellix, Carbon Black)Familiarity with vulnerability management toolsUnderstanding of MFA, IAM and Privileged Access Management solutions such as CyberArk or BeyondTrust
