Cyprium Metals Limited is an Australian copper company focused on the redevelopment of the Nifty Copper Complex in Western Australia. Nifty is a brownfield copper asset with substantial existing infrastructure and a long operating history. Cyprium is progressing a staged restart at Nifty and is building the team and capability needed to support safe and effective operations.
The Opportunity
Working on an 8/6 roster, the Warehouse & Stores role is responsible for the safe, efficient and accurate operation of the Nifty site warehouse and stores function. The role is responsible for all site related procurement collaboration in collaboration with the corporate procurement team. It ensures that materials, equipment and spare parts are received, stored, controlled and issued effectively to support site operations, maintenance activities and contractor requirements.
Working within a small operational team, the position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory integrity, supporting operational continuity and ensuring disciplined warehouse practices aligned to Cyprium Metals’ governance and systems.
The role works closely with the site operational teams, the commercial contracts & procurement function, and logistics providers to ensure materials are available when required and inventory systems accurately reflect stock movements.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement
- Procurement for all site related goods and services
- Working with suppliers to establish and manage purchase orders and receipt of goods
Warehouse and Stores operations
- Receive, inspect and record incoming goods and materials delivered to site.
- Ensure materials are stored safely, securely and in accordance with warehouse standards.
- Issue goods and materials to operational and maintenance teams in line with site requirements.
- Maintain orderly and efficient warehouse and laydown yard areas.
- Support safe handling and storage of materials including hazardous goods where applicable.
Inventory Management and Stock Control
- Maintain accurate inventory records within company systems.
- Perform regular stocktakes and inventory reconciliation activities.
- Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or replenishment requirements.
- Support inventory control processes including minimum stock levels and reorder triggers.
- Ensure all goods movements are recorded accurately in inventory systems.
Logistics and Materials Control
- Coordinate the receipt and dispatch of materials to and from site.
- Interface with internal Cyprium logistics personnel and external logistics providers.
- Assist with freight coordination, material staging and delivery scheduling.
- Support the productive movement of materials between warehouses, laydown areas and operational locations.
Operational Support
- Liaise with site operations, maintenance and technical teams to ensure availability of required materials.
- Assist in identifying critical spares requirements and inventory priorities.
- Support maintenance and operational teams during shutdowns or key operational activities requiring increased materials coordination.
Systems and Process Discipline
- Ensure all warehouse activities are conducted in accordance with company procedures and systems.
- Development of SOP’s or Work Instructions where gaps are identified.
- Maintain accurate data within inventory management systems including Pronto where applicable.
- Work with the Commercial Contracts & Procurement team to ensure alignment between physical inventory and procurement processes.
Safety and Compliance
- Maintain high standards of safety within warehouse and storage areas.
- Ensure safe material handling practices at all times.
- Support site safety initiatives and comply with all Cyprium Metals safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements for storage and handling of materials.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in warehouse, stores or logistics roles within mining, resources or heavy industry.
- Experience with inventory management systems and stock control processes.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and materials handling.
- Ability to work effectively in a FIFO operational environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with Pronto ERP or similar inventory systems.
- Experience working in remote mining or industrial operations.
