About Our Client:
Our client is a global leader in equipment, technology and services for the mining and aggregates industries. Based in Forrestfield, their busy manufacturing workshop is seeking experienced tradespeople and operators to join a safety-focused and supportive team.
About the Roles/s:
We are currently recruiting for the following positions:
- Boilermaker/Welders
- Plasma Cutter Operator
These are Monday-to-Friday day-shift roles, with standard hours of 6:00am to 2:30pm. Due to current workload, regular overtime is available and shifts are often extended to approximately 4:30pm. Weekend work may also be offered.
Key Responsibilities:
Boilermaker/Welder –
- Complete repairs and fabrication work on heavy industrial equipment and components.
- Remove, repair, fabricate and install wear liners.
- Perform welding, cutting, grinding and general workshop duties to a high standard.
Plasma Cutter Operator –
- set up and operate a Kinetic plasma cutting machine.
- Interpret drawings, select materials and accurately cut components to specification.
- Use TouchCut programming to prepare or adjust cutting jobs where required
- Complete quality checks and maintain a clean, secure and productive work area.
- Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication Trade) or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Demonstrated repair and wear-liner experience within manufacturing, mining or heavy industry.
Plasma Cutter Operator –
- Proven experience operating and cutting with a Kinetic plasma machine.
- TouchCut programming experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work accurately to measurements.
- Strong safety awareness, reliability and an exceptional work ethic.
- Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends when required.
- Boilermaker/Welder applicants must be willing to attend a site meet and greet and complete a weld test.
