About the Role
We're currently seeking experienced Shotfirers to join our growing operations on a FIFO 8:6 roster from Perth.

Reporting to the site Supervisor, you will play a critical role in the safe execution of blasting activities while ensuring compliance with site procedures, legislative requirements and Drillforce’s high operation standard

What you'll need to bring:

- Minimum 2 years' experience in open cut shotfiring
- Experience preparing production and contour blast patterns
- Surface blast loading, stemming and tie-in experience
- Experience supervising and directing blast crews
- Solid understanding of drill and blast operations within mining environments
- Proven ability to lead teams and work effectively under pressure
- A strong commitment to safety and the ZERO Harm culture

Essential Requirements

- Current and valid Shotfirer's Ticket




- HR Driver's Licence (Desirable)
- Dangerous Goods Security Card
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- National Police Clearance within 3 months (or ability to obtain)
- As part of the recruitment process, applicants will undergo Pre-Employment Medical Testing, including Drug and Alcohol screening. Successful candidates will also be subject to random screenings while on assignment.

Skills & Attributes

- Pattern mark-up to design specifications
- Explosives loading and initiation compliance
- Strong knowledge of state and federal explosives legislation
- Effective leadership and communication skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to safe outcomes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare production and contour blast patterns to design specifications
- Conduct pattern mark-ups and pre-blast inspections
- Load, stem and tie-in surface blast patterns
- Ensure explosive handling, storage and use complies with all legislative requirements
- Coordinate and direct blast crew activities
- Perform blast testing and final checks prior to firing
- Execute blasts safely and accurately
- Maintain detailed blast records and documentation
- Promote a positive safety culture and lead by example on site
