About the Role

Blenners Transport is seeking a Trade Qualified Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanic – working 6am to 4pm Monday to Friday plus rostered Saturdays 5am to 10:15am - to join the workshop team at the Tully depot. This hands-on role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of heavy commercial vehicles, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems

- Maintain and repair suspension, steering, and braking systems

- Perform welding, fabrication, and HVAC system repairs

- Use diagnostic instruments and workshop equipment

- Mentor apprentices and participate in training sessions

- Ensure compliance with WHS, CoR, and internal policies

- Maintain accurate documentation and a clean workshop environment

Role Requirements





- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role

- Experience working in Road Transport highly regarded

- Knowledge of (Kenworth & Isuzu Trucks, and Cummins Power Plants), (BPW, Meritor and Hendrickson Suspension Systems), Eaton Driveline Components, (ThermoKing & Carrier Fridge Units), and truck air conditioner repairs & servicing.

- Manual Driver’s Licence (HR/HC/MC highly regarded)

- Forklift Licence (LF) highly regarded

- Strong attention to detail and safety-first mindset

- Physical fitness and ability to handle manual tasks

- Positive interpersonal and communication skills
