We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Account Manager Agronomist to join our team in Mareeba/Tolga, North Queensland. Located on the Atherton Tablelands, the region is renowned for its diverse agricultural landscape, producing everything from avocados, mangoes, citrus and bananas through to coffee, sugarcane, cotton and cattle. The region's reliable water supply, fertile soils and year-round growing conditions make it one of Australia's premier agricultural hubs.

What you’ll do

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will partner with growers across a broad range of farming enterprises, providing trusted agronomic advice and helping customers maximise productivity, profitability and sustainability. No two days are the same, with opportunities to work across horticulture, broadacre cropping, grazing and emerging agricultural industries.

- Provide high‑quality agronomic and technical advice to growers across the region

- Conduct on-farm visits and provide technical recommendations tailored to customer needs

- Drive product sales both in‑store and on‑farm

- Build and maintain long‑term, trusted relationships with existing customers

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through superior agronomic insight and service

- Develop crop nutrition, crop protection and farm management plans





- Identify opportunities to grow sales and deliver value-added solutions

- Share relevant technical, seasonal and market insights to improve farm productivity and sustainability

- Stay current with latest plant production practices and agronomic innovations

- Coordinate and participate in field days, trials and farmer meetings, positioning yourself as a local subject‑matter expert

What you’ll bring

Proven agronomy experience, ideally with exposure to horticultural production systems such as avocados, mangoes, citrus, bananas or other tree and tropical crops

- Demonstrated capability in sales planning, call cycle management and customer growth

- Strong understanding of crop nutrition, crop protection and irrigation management

- Ability to build trusted relationships and provide practical on-farm advice

- Commercial acumen with a customer-focused approach

- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

- A genuine passion for Australian agriculture and helping growers succeed

- A tertiary qualification in Agricultural Science (or related discipline)

- A current driver’s licence
