Anglicare’s Stafford Home and Community team provide support and services that enable our clients to maintain their independence - living happily and healthily within their own homes.
We have an opportunity for a permanent part-time Lifestyle Assistant to join our awesome team. We are offering approximately 60 hours per fortnight, 3 days per week (preferably mid week and Fridays) and shifts are 8am - 3:30pm.
The Lifestyle Assistant’s primary responsibility is to assist with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities and lifestyle programs that enable clients to participate in a variety of experiences to improve their quality of life. We are looking for an individual who has:
- Proven background in planning, conducting, and evaluating activity and
diversional therapy programs
- Confidence in driving a 10 seater bus/van, with strong knowledge of Metro
North Brisbane and surrounding areas for client pickups and drop-offs
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with a variety of people including staff,
management and clients in a professional and friendly manner
- Commitment to ongoing quality improvement and professional development of the
service and yourself
- Dedication to working within the Aged Care, Community and Disability sectors
to improve and enhance the lives of clients
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment and to
manage your own workload
Mandatory qualifications/requirements:
- A Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- A current National Police Certificate OR NDIS Clearance/Yellow Card
- Current Driver Licence and your own reliable vehicle
