Provide integrated evidence based clinical paediatric psychological assessment and treatment services to clients of the Child Development Service (CDS) in the Gold Coast Health Service District.
The Role
An chance has become available for a Psychologist (Community Paediatrics) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Contribute a psychological perspective to team meetings/clinical reviews
- Provide ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals.
- Monitor and act on data collection, appropriately using data for continuous improvement
- Provide routine clinical services and advice related to the psychological management of Children
- Participate in CDS Multi-Disciplinary Team assessments specific to children, and their families
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Tertiary degree in Psychology (or equivalent)
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Driver Licence
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary part time (up to 12 months, 45.60 hours per fortnight)
- Base salary ranging from $40.35 - $58.59 per hour

The Child Development Service (CDS) is based at the Southport Health Precinct and supports the entire Gold Coast Hospital Health Service (GCHHS). The services focuses on children with developmental and behaviour problems. The CDS liaises with multiple community services and agencies, including Education Queensland, Disability Services as well as non-government providers and private practitioners.
