About the role

ASR Collision is seeking an experienced Automotive Panel Beater to join our team in Cairns North, Queensland. This is a Full-time or Contractor position based at our facility, where you will play a crucial role in restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. As a Panel Beater you will be utilising your expertise to deliver high-quality panel work and ensure customer satisfaction. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern equipment and techniques whilst contributing to a professional and growing automotive services business.

Key responsibilities

- Remove and replace damaged body panels using appropriate techniques and tools

- Perform metal straightening and panel beating to restore vehicle shape and alignment

- Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and hours spent on each vehicle

- Adhere to health and safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work setting

- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met before handover

- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding repair progress and any additional issues identified

- Able to work autonomously

- Have good organisation skills

- The ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain high standards at all times

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as an Automotive Panel Beater or in a similar automotive body repair role

- Advanced knowledge of metal work techniques, including panel beating, straightening and welding

- Strong understanding of vehicle structural integrity and alignment principles

- Ability to read and interpret damage assessment reports and work specifications

- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship

- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues





- Valid driver's licence and willingness to undertake test drives when necessary

- Relevant automotive trade qualifications or certifications (preferred)

- Experience with insurance claim requirements and procedures (advantageous)
