Transform cutting-edge research into scalable production systems, partnering with researchers to build efficient pipelines, innovative algorithms, experimentation platforms, and high-performance technology at scale.
What You'll Do:
1. You’ll join a cooperative Research Engineering team focused on accelerating the journey from research concept to production. Working closely with researchers, you’ll tackle challenging engineering problems, develop practical solutions quickly, and help safely deploy new technology at scale.
2. Your work could span data ingestion, feature discovery, storage systems, model validation, experiment tracking, algorithm development, or entirely new approaches to bringing research into production.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Build and optimise scalable pipelines connecting research with production.
2. Design external data ingestion and processing systems.
3. Develop feature discovery and storage platforms.
4. Create model validation and experiment tracking solutions.
5. Author, test, and deploy bespoke algorithms.
6. Identify opportunities to improve research workflows and engineering systems.
7. Solve complex technical problems using the most appropriate tools and technologies.
8. Collaborate closely with researchers, engineers, and stakeholders across the business.
9. Work across multiple projects and identify connections between different technical challenges.
10. Use technologies such as Python, C++, and domain-specific languages while remaining open to learning new tools.
11. Ensure solutions are efficient, reliable, scalable, and safe for production deployment.
Why Join Us:
1.
This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of research and technology, solving complex problems that directly influence high-performance systems operating at significant scale.
2. You’ll work in an environment where engineers and researchers collaborate closely, ideas move quickly from discussion to implementation, and you’ll have the freedom to explore different technologies rather than being confined to a single specialisation.
3. With exposure to cutting-edge research, advanced engineering challenges, and a broad technical toolkit, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to learn, innovate, and make a meaningful impact.
About You:
1. You’re a curious and adaptable engineer who naturally looks beyond your own area of responsibility. You enjoy understanding how different systems interact and are often the person who identifies potential integration issues before they become problems.
2. You thrive when working across multiple projects and enjoy spotting connections, opportunities, and better ways of solving problems.
3. You’re driven by outcomes rather than a particular technology or specialisation. You’re comfortable working with stakeholders, asking thoughtful questions, and uncovering the real problem behind a request.
4. A finance background isn’t required, nor do you need experience with every technology we use. What matters is your engineering ability, curiosity, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to learn.
