This position is primarily focussed on the accurate collection, labelling and processing of blood and other samples, from patients in collection rooms, hospitals, nursing homes and residential environments.

About The Role:
- Collection of pathology specimens from patients in our collection rooms, hospitals and as part of domiciliary services
- Store and process pathology specimens
- Patient reception and response to client enquiries
- Record patient information
- Attend to the well-being of patients
- Liaise with patients and referring doctors
- Use of laboratory application software
- Previous experience preferred but not essential as full training is provided
- The majority of shifts commence between 6.30am and 8.30am

Selection Criteria:
1. Ability to commit to full time training program (4-8 weeks depending upon previous experience)
2. Excellent availability to cover a variety of shifts, including afternoon/evening and weekends
3.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated commitment to service excellence
4. Proven ability to act independently within established guidelines, whilst demonstrating initiative and sound judgement
5. Exceptional skills in applying attention to detail
6. Any previous experience in phlebotomy will be well regarded
7. A current unrestricted Australian driver's licence
