About the role

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Casual Mail & Parcel Delivery Driver / Postal Worker to join the team at our Company. This is a casual position based in Maryborough QLD 4650, offering flexibility for those seeking part-time or irregular work opportunities. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of mail and parcels to residential and commercial addresses throughout the Maryborough area. You will be the face of our company, ensuring every customer interaction reflects our commitment to excellent service and reliability. This position is integral to our operations, as you will directly contribute to maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring the smooth flow of postal and parcel deliveries in the community.

Key responsibilities

- Collect, sort, and deliver mail and parcels to designated addresses in a timely and professional manner

- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS technology and route planning tools to optimise delivery times

- Obtain signatures for parcels when required

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including scanning barcodes and updating tracking information

- Handle packages with care, ensuring items are delivered in good condition and to the correct recipient

- Provide courteous customer service, answering inquiries and addressing delivery concerns professionally

- Maintain vehicle safety and cleanliness, reporting any mechanical issues promptly

- Comply with all health and safety regulations and company policies

- Perform occasional light administrative tasks related to deliveries and package management

What we're looking for





- Valid driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle type being operated (essential)

- Reliable, honest, trustworthy, punctual and skilled approach to work with strong attention to detail

- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with co-workers and Australia Post employees.

- Good physical fitness, as the role involves walking, carrying parcels, and possibly climbing stairs regularly

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively whilst adhering to delivery schedules

- Basic IT literacy, to be able to learn scanning technology.

- Willingness to learn local routes quickly

- Flexibility to work varying hours, including early morning starts

- Previous experience in delivery, postal services, or customer-facing roles is advantageous

- A clean driving record and commitment to safe driving practices.

- Able to work in varying weather conditions

Essential Requirements

Applicants must:-

Hold a Current Australian C Class Drivers Licence.

Be able to successfully complete a Fit2Work check.

Be able to successfully complete a National Police Check.

Have a reliable work history and good attendance record.
