RPC Diesel & Hydraulics is a well-established, family-owned business based in Townsville.

We are currently seeking an experienced Hydraulic Fitter to join our team.

This is a hands‑on role where no two days are the same. You'll work both in our workshop, and on customer sites throughout Townsville and surrounding suburbs, carrying out hydraulic servicing and repairs, hose and fitting repairs, installations, maintenance and fault-finding on a wide range of industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities
Diagnosing, repairing, resealing and maintaining hydraulic systems
Managing stock and ensuring equipment is maintained and organised
Maintaining accurate job records and documentation
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and site requirements
Attend off-site breakdowns and field service work as required

Skills & Experience




Trade qualified (Fitter and Turner or equivalent)
Proven experience in fabricating, installing and maintaining high pressure hydraulic and industrial hose assemblies
Solid knowledge of hydraulic, grease, and equipment systems
Robust diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics
The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
High attention to detail, quality workmanship and time management
Robust communication and customer interaction skills
Basic computer skills (timesheets, job cards, POs)
Current driver’s licence (MR/HR highly regarded)
Forklift licence (desirable not essential)
