Sage Yellowfin is a contemporary Australian restaurant located in South Bank, Brisbane, specialising in premium seafood, quality steaks, and seasonal local produce.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook Up-to-date Australian dishes in accordance with Sage Yellowfin recipes, specifications and presentation standards.
Work across seafood, grill and hot sections, including the preparation and cooking of fresh seafood, steaks, pasta and other menu items.
Handle and prepare premium seafood products including oysters, prawns, scallops, Moreton Bay bugs, octopus and salmon.
Operate grills and other commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during service.
Maintain consistent food quality, flavour, presentation and portion control across all dishes.
Complete daily mise en place and ensure assigned sections are fully prepared for lunch and dinner service.
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, cleanliness and safe food-handling practices.
Monitor stock levels, rotate ingredients correctly, minimise wastage and assist with inventory control.




Work efficiently under pressure during high-volume service periods while maintaining menu consistency.
Coordinate with other chefs, kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to ensure timely and smooth service.
Assist with receiving, checking and correctly storing fresh produce, seafood and other kitchen supplies.
Maintain a clean, organised and service-ready workstation throughout each shift.

Essential Requirements
Minimum 1 - 2 years' experience as a Chef in a busy commercial kitchen
Relevant Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality or equivalent qualification preferred
Knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles
Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced workplace
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
