As a Research Analyst, you willmonitor, research, summarise, and translate Australian news and current affairs into high-quality PowerPoint and Word-based reports.
Topics will include Australia-Japan relations, politics, economic trends, public policy, and geopolitical developments across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific region.
No prior research experience isrequired.
We areseekingintellectually curious professionals with a genuine interest in politics, economics, and current affairs.
Candidates should have 2-3 years of work experience in Japan or Australia andpossessstrong written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English.
Key Responsibilities
Research and prepare reports, summaries, and presentations in Word and PowerPoint for Head Office.
Monitor political, economic, andGeopolitical developments in Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific region.
Research key industries such as mining, energy, infrastructure, and agribusiness.
Track developments in Australian politics, the economy, foreign policy, and Australia-Japan relations.
Attend meetings, seminars, and conferences, and prepare summary notes and reports in Japanese.
Build andmaintainrelationships with industry experts, academics,
and research organisations.
Coordinate external research projects and work with research providers.
Travel within Australia, the Pacific region, and Japan whenrequired, and prepare reports on findings.
Communicate regularly with Head Office and support research activities.
Assistwith other projects and duties asrequired.

Native-level Japaneselanguageskill
Interested inresearchingandsummarisingnews articlesis highly desirablebut not necessary
