The Role
You'll operate a range of purpose-built UHP waterblasting trucks, vac tankers on state and national highway projects, removing linemarking and retexturing pavement surfaces.
Work is a mix of local Gold Coast/Brisbane -based projects and away work on regional and interstate campaigns (accommodation and allowances provided).
Day-to-day you will:
Operate and drive HR/HC waterblasting trucks to and from site
Run UHP blasting equipment to specification, including daily pre-starts and plant checks
Work within traffic control environments on live road corridors (predominantly night shift)
Complete dockets, plant records, and QA paperwork accurately
Carry out routine maintenance, nozzle changes, and general upkeep of equipment
Work as part of a small, tight-knit crew with a strong safety culture
About You
Current HR or HC licence (essential) with a clean driving record
White Card (General Construction Induction)
Experience in civil construction,
road maintenance, or plant operation (waterblasting/UHP experience highly regarded but not essential – full training provided)
Willingness to travel and work away on regional/interstate projects
Comfortable with night shift work
Reliable, safety-focused, and able to follow SWMS and site procedures
Mechanically minded with a practical approach to problem-solving
Highly Regarded
UHP waterblasting or industrial blasting experience
First Aid certificate
Experience on TfNSW or TMR projects
