Care That Matters
Bundaberg Central
Bring Your Experience.
Bring Your Heart.
Bring Your Genuine Care.
AtCare That Matters, we believe great support starts with one thing:
Genuine human connection.
It's the conversation that makes someone smile.
The encouragement when something feels difficult.
The patience to try again.
The little moments that build confidence.
The trust that grows over time.
And, most importantly, recognising that the person you support is not defined by their disability. They are a person first — with their own story, goals, choices, personality and way of doing things.
We're looking forFemale Disability Support Workerswho understand the difference that genuine connection can make.
People who bring experience but also bring empathy.
People who know when to step in — and when to step back.
People who listen.
People who notice the little things.
People who celebrate the big things.
People who genuinely care.
ABOUT THE ROLE
No two people are the same, which means no two days in support are the same.
As a Disability Support Worker with Care That Matters, you'll work alongside the people we support to help them live as independently, confidently and meaningfully as possible.
Depending on the individual, your role may include:

Encouraging confidence, choice and independence
Supporting people to make their own decisions
Providing calm, respectful support during challenging moments
But the role is about much more than completing a list of tasks.
You'll be there to listen, encourage, empower and walk alongside someone.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
We're looking for someone who is compassionate, reliable, respectful and genuinely passionate about supporting people to live life on their own terms.
You'll ideally have previous experience in disability support and understand the importance ofperson-centred practice, dignity of risk, choice and control, and maintaining professional boundaries.
You'll also need:

ACertificate III in Individual Support or a related qualificationis desirable.
But qualifications are only part of what makes a great Support Worker.
THIS IS MORE THAN A JOB.
It's being trusted to become part of someone's life.
It's helping someone discover what they can do.
It's celebrating progress that others may not notice.
It's building confidence through small, consistent steps.
It's creating moments of connection.
It's showing up —reliably,
respectfully and genuinely.
And sometimes, it's simply being the person who makes someone's day a little better.
