About the Role
This EL1 Procurement Specialist role leads complex procurements supporting a major regional cyber program.
You will manage end-to-end activities in line with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and the PGPA Act, providing strategic procurement advice, financial alignment, risk management and probity oversight across the wider Cyber Affairs and Critical Technology Branch.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and execution of procurement processes aligned to branch priorities
Manage market engagement, tenders (RFQs, RFPs, RFTs), negotiation and contract management
Establish contractual frameworks including SLAs, KPIs, governance and compliance monitoring
Apply ODA, Non-ODA and Departmental funding classifications to structure activities correctly
Coordinate activity through AusTender, DS4P and BuyICT,
and oversee SAP contracts, purchase orders and reconciliation
Deliver probity oversight, procurement briefs, risk assessments and contract closure reports
Skills & Experience
Demonstrated experience delivering complex Commonwealth procurement end to end
Solid working knowledge of the CPRs, PGPA Act and probity requirements
Experience managing contracts, financial trackers and reporting obligations
Ability to provide strategic procurement and funding advice to senior stakeholders
Excellent stakeholder engagement, analytical and problem-solving skills
Flexibility and resilience to adjust to changing priorities in a fast-moving environment
Existing NV1 security clearance is a mandatory requirement for this position.
