Senior ServiceNow Developer (ITSM / ITOM / Integrations) – Contract (Federal Government)

A major System Integrator is seeking an experiencedSenior ServiceNow Developerto support aFederal Governmentclient delivering and enhancing core ServiceNow capabilities acrossITSM, ITOM and integrations.
This is animmediate startcontract role requiringactive NV1 (or higher) security clearance.
Location:Sydney / Melbourne / Canberra / Adelaide(site arrangements to be confirmed)
Clearance:Mandatory – active NV1 or higher
Contract:Initial 6 months + possible extension
Role overview
You will design, build and support ServiceNow solutions across ITSM and ITOM, delivering high-quality technical outcomes in a secure government workplace.
Youll work closely with platform owners, architects, business stakeholders and delivery teams to implement scalable, supportable solutions and robust integrations.
Key responsibilities
Develop and configure ServiceNow solutions acrossITSMmodules (e.g., Incident, Problem, Change, Request, CMDB, Knowledge).
DeliverITOMcapabilities such asDiscovery,Service Mapping,Event Management, and operational dashboards/health views (as applicable).
Build and support integrations usingIntegrationHub,REST/SOAP APIs,MID Server, scripted integrations, and event/message patterns.
Produce high-qualityserver-side and client-side scripting(JavaScript), including Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies/Actions, Client Scripts, Catalog Items/Workflows/Flows.




Implement automation usingFlow Designerand support legacy workflow where required.
Provide technical leadership on build standards, code quality, performance, and platform best practice.
Troubleshoot, tune and resolve defects, platform issues, integration failures and data quality problems.
Contribute to release planning, CI/CD where implemented, change management and production support.
Develop technical documentation, runbooks, configuration guides and knowledge articles.
Work within secure delivery practices and adhere to Federal Government policies, governance and audit requirements.
Skills and experience
Essential
Strong hands-on experience as aServiceNow Developerin enterprise environments.
Demonstrated delivery acrossITSMandITOM(including at least one of Discovery / Service Mapping / Event Management).
Solid experience deliveringintegrations(IntegrationHub, APIs, MID Server, data transformation/mapping).
Strong scripting skills and ability to work with complex customisation while keeping solutions supportable.
Experience with CMDB and service modelling concepts, CI relationships and data governance.
Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders in a structured delivery environment.
Active NV1 (or higher) security clearance – mandatory.
