About the CentreThe North Melbourne Recreation Centre (NMRC) is an key community facility, managed by YMCA Victoria in partnership with City of Melbourne.The Centre is designed to provide the local community with a range of recreational, social, cultural and educational experiences.
In addition to the Recreation Centre, the Centre Manager will also oversee the management and operation of the North Melbourne Outdoor (Seasonal) Pool (NMOP).
The pool is located approximately 200m from the Recreation Centre.
About the RoleAs a Customer Service Officer, you will be greeting members, responding to enquiries via email, phone or in-person, as well as performing general but important administrative tasks.
Our Customer Service Officer's always put the customer experience at the forefront of all interactions with people within the community.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Provide customers with sales solutions when enquiring about memberships and programs
Conduct centre tours with prospective members
Follow up customers and members as required
Promote available programs and services
Accurately receipt, process and balance customer payments
This is a casual position with a starting hourly rate of up to $***** per hour + Superannuation + Y Benefits.




Please note- you must have Pool Lifeguard qualifications to be considered for this role due to centre requirements.
About YouWith our focus on providing the exceptional customer experience and always providing outstanding customer service, we will be looking for someone who is energetic, can help to create a welcoming environment and enthusiastic about helping and assisting others.
You will be working alongside our other Customer Service Officers, and will also work closely with Duty Managers to ensure smooth service and running of the facility overall.
Qualifications & ExperienceAquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate
HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
