About The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join the Carrapateena Emergency Services team.
This role will suit an experienced Emergency Service Officer looking to further their knowledge and career.
The Carrapateena Emergency Services is a highly regarded team of professionals that respond to many calls a year including fire, rescue, HAZMAT and medical emergencies across the surface processing plant and underground mining operations.
The Team are well resourced with an impressive fleet of Emergency Vehicles including 2 Ambulances, 2 Fire trucks, and 1 Rescue Appliance.
Please note this position is based at Carrapateena, operating FIFO from Adelaide or Port Augusta on a roster working 7 nights on, 7 days off, 8 days on, 6 days off.
In This Role You Will
Responding to all surface/underground fire, rescue, HAZMAT and medical emergencies
Participate in training sessions, knowledge sharing and scenario-based exercises for the onsite emergency service volunteers
Committing to ongoing personal development to maintain or improve skills and qualifications
Ensure that operational emergency response readiness is maintained,



including meeting team training requirements and the inspection and maintenance equipment and vehicles
Proactively collaborate with work areas, fostering positive and productive working relationships by conducting work area inspections, in-field task observations and verifying critical control effectiveness
About You
Minimum requirements for the role:
Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue or equivalent
Certificate IV in Health Care or equivalent / higher
HR Drivers License
Minimum of C class driver's license
Applicants with any of the following are strongly encouraged to apply:
AHPRA Registration (Paramedic/RN)
Previous experience in a State Emergency Service role
Previous experience in Underground Mining Environment
Drug and Alcohol Testing Qualification
