About the Opportunity
A well-established agricultural dealership business in the beautiful Great Southern region of Western Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experiencedDiesel Mechanicspecialising in agricultural machinery.
This is a permanent full time role supporting large-scale cropping, livestock, and mixed farming operations.
Join a tight-knit team where your expertise keeps tractors, headers, sprayers, trucks, and other heavy plant running reliably during critical seasons.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, service, and maintain a wide range of heavy diesel agricultural equipment (John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, Claas, tractors, combines, air seeders, sprayers, etc.)
Perform scheduled maintenance, breakdowns, and field repairs to minimise downtime during peak planting and harvest periods
Work on engines, transmissions, hydraulics, drivelines, electrical systems, and precision ag components
Fabricate and modify parts as required using workshop tools and equipment
Conduct diagnostics using modern scan tools and maintain accurate service records
Ensure all work complies with safety standards, quality requirements, and environmental regulations
Participate in on-call rosters during busy seasons (with overtime compensation)
About You
Trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic (Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent) – essential
Minimum 5+ years post-trade experience, with strong background inagricultural / farming machinery(essential – broadacre cropping or livestock equipment preferred)




Proven ability to work independently in field and workshop environments
Excellent fault-finding skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance
Physically fit, reliable, and able to work in rural conditions (dust, weather, seasonal hours)
Current Australian driver's licence (HR preferred)
Full working rights in Australiarequired (Australian citizen, permanent resident, or valid visa allowing unrestricted work)
Employer open to sponsoring a 482 visa(TSS) for the right overseas candidate with exceptional skills and experience in agricultural diesel mechanics – must meet skills assessment and English requirements
What We Offer
Competitive remuneration package:$100,000 – $110,000 base plus overtime per yearbase (depending on experience), plus obonuses, and allowances
Potential total package up to$120,000 – $135,000including overtime during harvest/planting seasons
Permanent full-time position with a stable, family-oriented employer in essential industry
Accommodation provided for the first 6 months
Salary review after 6 months
Tools of trade, work vehicle / UTE provided, mobile phone allowance
