Operations Area Manager - Work for a Major Online Retailer!
We are on the hunt for an experiencedOperations Area Managerto join our client, the World's largest online retailer, at theirJandakot Customer Fulfillment Centre.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain or large-scale Retail Manager who loves leading people, improving processes and delivering results in a high-volume workplace.
The Role:
As an Operations Area Manager, you will take ownership of a key area within the Fulfillment Centre, which may include Receive, Stow, Pick, Pack or Ship.
You will be responsible for:Leading and developing a team of Operations Section Managers and their direct reports
Coaching, mentoring and motivating your team to achieve operational goals
Maintaining high Health and Safety standards and promoting a strong safety culture onsite
Developing performance goals and objectives to ensure customer expectations are met
Reviewing work forecasts and determining daily production requirements
Collaborating with support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance and Human Resources
Partnering with the wider management team to establish and maintain quality control standards
Identifying operational challenges, analysing root causes and driving process improvements
Managing performance and ensuring your team remains engaged,



productive and focused on results
This is a12-month fixed term contract, reviewed every 3 months.
You will work a4 days on, 3 days off roster, which will include at least one weekend day.
The Person:
We are looking for someone who is:A natural leader who knows how to motivate and develop people
Customer focused and results driven
Experienced within Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics or large-scale Retail Management
Experienced in directly managing employees and their performance
Comfortable leading sizable teams in a fast-paced environment
A strong problem solver with excellent analytical skills
Confident diving deep into operational issues and finding practical solutions
An excellent verbal and written communicator
Experienced in identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve performance
