What you will do
As a team leader, you will support services for young people in custody.
You will lead staff and help deliver programs that meet their welfare needs.
You will:
coordinate targeted programs and services for young people aged 18 to 25
lead and support staff who provide youth services, case management and on-call support
complete focused welfare assessments and respond to referrals for young people
provide clear advice and training to staff who work with young people in custody
help develop, deliver and review the youth framework and related programs
About you
A relevant qualification or experience in human services, welfare practice or a related field would be highly desirable.
You should also understand how correctional settings work.
You should also have:
resilience and confidence when giving advice, receiving feedback and handling difficult situations
strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions
good people skills and the ability to build trust with people from different backgrounds
leadership skills that help you guide staff, set transparent expectations and manage daily work
