The Noosa Chocolate Factory is a manufacturer and retailer of premium chocolate and confectionery products located in the Sunshine Coast.
Since ****, we've hand crafted extraordinary chocolate using the finest local ingredients, for sale across our network of retail stores across south-east Queensland.
We have an exciting prospect available to join our team as Store Manager of our Chermside store.
This permanent, full-time role comes at a key time as we build on the success of this store since its opening in December ****.
We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced manager to lead our Chermside store.
This is a hands‐on leadership role with real ownership — you'll be responsible for the day-to-day retail operations, customer experience, team performance and commercial results of the store.
The store operates 7 days per week and late night on Thursday.
It is expected for the Store Manager to work some weekends and Thursday nights as part of the store roster pattern.
What you'll be doing:
You'll take ownership of everything that makes our Hastings St store tick, including:
Leading day-to-day retail operations , ensuring every customer interaction reflecting our brand standards and commitment to quality
Driving retail sales and delivering a high standard of customer service, while ensuring the store is presented and operated in accordance with company standards
Providing hands‐on store and customer service support as required - this is a roll‐up‐your‐sleeves kind of role
Recruiting, training, mentoring and rostering a team of retail staff and customer service team members
Driving sales performance and managing the store P&L;, including sales, cost of goods, labour and discretionary spend
Monitoring retail KPIs and analysing sales data to identify growth opportunities and operational improvements
Managing stock ordering, inventory levels and reducing spoilage and shrinkage
Planning and implementing visual merchandising and product displays that reflect our brand, maximise product presentation and drive sales
Ensuring compliance with food safety, WHS, and all company policies and procedures
Resolving customer complaints promptly and maintaining high customer satisfaction standards
Implementing strategies to increase store sales, improve operational efficiency and maximise the commercial performance of the store
What you'll bring:
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
Proven experience managing a retail store, with demonstrated experience in retail operations, sales and customer service
Strong people leadership - you know how to build a team, keep them motivated, and get results
Financial literacy and confidence managing a store P&L;, sales targets and budgets
A practical, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to stay calm and problem‐solve under pressure
Excellent communication skills across staff, customers, suppliers and the broader business
Strong understanding of retail sales, inventory management, visual merchandising and store operations
