Disability Support Worker (Attendant Care)
My Team Support Services (MTSS) is seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join a dedicated support team assisting an adult male with quadriplegia to live independently in his own home.
This rewarding role involves providing personal care, domestic support, exercise assistance, meal preparation, and support with daily routines that enable the participant to maintain his independence and quality of life.
Available Shifts
Permanent Part time and Casual opportunities available:
Morning Shifts
Approximately 6:30am to 8:30am
Evening Shifts
Approximately 6:30pm to 8:30pm
Shifts are available across 7 days per week, with opportunities to build a regular roster.
About the Role
You will work as part of a small support team providing:




Personal care and hygiene supportAssistance with dressing and groomingManual handling and slide-board transfersDaily stretching and exercise programsMeal preparation and light household dutiesCleaning and laundry tasksSupport with skin integrity monitoringAssistance with mobility and positioningMedication assistance in accordance with training and organisational policiesMaintaining accurate records and communication with the support team
Comprehensive participant-specific training will be provided.

Compassionate and person-centredReliable and punctualComfortable working independently in a participant's homePhysically capable of assisting with transfers and personal care tasksRespectful of participant choice, dignity and privacyAble to follow care plans and established routinesStrong communicators with a positive attitudeNDIS Worker Screening CheckCurrent First Aid and CPR CertificateAustralian Driver LicenceReliable vehiclePhone for rostering and documentationRights to work in AustraliaExperience supporting people with physical disabilities or spinal cord injuriesCertificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or equivalent
