Drive the growth.
Shape the future.
Australia-wide expansion | Senior executive opportunity | High-growth specialist services business
This is not a role for someone who simply wants to run the day-to-day.
We're looking for a commercially mindedChief Operating Officerto play a pivotal role in taking an ambitious specialist services business to its next level of growth.
Working closely with the CEO, you'll become a key architect of the company's expansion — helping turn a successful operation into ascalable, nationally recognised business.
With plans to establish a stronger presence across Australia, this is an opportunity to influence where the business goes next, how it operates and ultimately how large it can become.
Why this role?
You'll have genuine influence.
Rather than inheriting a rigid structure, you'll have the opportunity to help build one.
You'll identify opportunities, challenge the status quo, develop high-performing teams and put the systems, people and commercial disciplines in place to support significant growth.
Your focus will spanstrategy, operations, people, commercial performance and expansion, working alongside the CEO to turn ambitious plans into measurable results.
What you'll be driving
Help shape and execute the company's national growth strategy
Identify new markets, locations and opportunities for expansion
Establish and develop high-performing branch and operational teams
Build the systems, processes and leadership structure required to scale
Strengthen relationships across major mining, resources, infrastructure, construction, energy and industrial markets
Develop strategic partnerships, supplier networks and subcontractor relationships
Assess potential acquisitions, joint ventures and other growth opportunities
Establish meaningful branch-level financial, operational and performance targets
Drive consistency across safety, quality, service delivery and operational standards
Build a culture where accountability, initiative and high performance are expected
Lead workforce planning, recruitment, development and succession
Identify inefficiencies and introduce smarter, more scalable ways of working
Partner with the CEO on commercial priorities, business performance and major strategic decisions
Ensure the business has the structure and capability to support its next stage of growth
The person we're looking for
You'll be an experienced senior leader who combinescommercial instinct with operational discipline.
You know how to build teams, improve performance and turn strategy into execution.
Just as importantly, you're comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial workplace where things move quickly and you're expected to take ownership.
We're looking for someone who can:
Think strategically while remaining close to the operation
Lead through influence, accountability and example
Make commercially sound decisions using data and sound judgement
Build strong relationships with major clients and industry stakeholders
Develop leaders rather than create dependency
Identify opportunities before they become obvious
Navigate complexity and solve problems decisively
Bring structure without creating unnecessary bureaucracy
Challenge existing thinking and introduce better ways of working
Operate with integrity, energy and a genuine desire to build something significant
Your opportunity
This is abuild-and-grow leadership rolewith the potential to leave a lasting mark on the organisation.
If you're currently operating at COO, General Manager, Operations Director or another senior executive level — and you're looking for an opportunity where your decisions can directly influence the growth and direction of a business — this could be the next major step in your career.
