Practice Manager / Operations - Public Practice
We are partnering with a well-established and highly regarded accounting firm with approximately 60 staff across their business.
We are recruiting an experiencedPractice Managerfor their North Shore office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and commercially minded Practice Manager who enjoys leading people, improving processes and being a key operational leader within a successful public practice accounting environment.
Importantly, you will work alongside another experienced Practice Manager who manages a separate administration team, providing strong support and a collaborative leadership structure.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor and develop an administration team of 8 staff.
Manage practice administration, workflow coordination and operational processes.
Oversee billing, WIP monitoring and invoicing processes.
Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies across the practice.
Ensure a high standard of client service and internal support for accounting professionals.
Support resource planning, recruitment, onboarding and team development.
Collaborate with senior leadership on business operations and performance initiatives.

Experience
5 Years experience working within apublic practice accounting firm.
Previous experience as aPractice Manager, Operations Manager or similar leadership rolewithin an accounting workplace.
Demonstrated ability tolead, manage and develop staff, including performance management and team coordination.
Strongcommercial acumenwith the ability to improve processes, drive efficiencies and support business performance.
Experience managing or working withoffshore/overseas support staff, with strong communication and people management skills across distributed teams.
